A friend of mine posted these photos in his Myspace this evening and I immediately felt the need to share them. I consider myself a reasonably creative person, but I would've never thought about breaking out the templates and spray can and creating a display of this nature.
While it doesn't appear to be functional, I'm not sure why the minimal amount of paint on the monitor would disrupt use. I feel the urge to accept the responsibility that accompanies home ownership when I see people doing insanely creative things to their spaces like this.
Life has returned to a level of sanity I'm comfortable with lately. I've stopped communicating with quite a few of the people I was hanging with this summer. I'm sure I'll hang with them again, just need to create space at the moment and grow a little. When the negativity of others starts bringing you down you have the choice of exercising your downward mobility or parting ways...I've never been all that fond of allowing people to bend me or shape me, so I've chosen the latter.
One more day in the office and then I'm off to Milwaukee to catch the Brewers play the Cubs. The following day I'll be heading further north to Chicago to catch My Bloody Valentine. Two sold out nights of quality entertainment are just what the doctor ordered. I hope life is treating you and yours kindly! |
